After our “new” camper (that we purchased back in March and got in April) was declared “totaled” after a wreck in August, we were on a hunt for a new camper. We actually got fortunate to buy a brand new camper and we absolutely love it! We purchased in on September 10. Here is two pics of it.
Has she finally learned to ride her bike?
Last year we had thought Megan had learned to ride her bike. Then she fell and that was it for her. Ryan has been working with her trying to get her to learn to ride it so we can finally put the training wheels away for good. On September 12 while mommy was working late, Megan learned to ride her bike! So the next night, Sept. 13, she showed me just how she learned. Since then she has ridden it several times on her own. She can’t start off on her own, she still needs help with that, but otherwise she can go, go, go!!!
Here is a video of her riding her bike on September 13.
I had hoped she’d get there some day
My thoughts are on Megan today. I know I tend to think about her more often then Kylie, but not because I love one more than another. Megan just needs more thoughts it seems.
First off last week Megan learned how to ride her bike. Actually she learned last year, but she had a big fall and just decided she wasn’t ever getting back on a bike that didn’t have training wheels. So then, on the day I had to work late for a golf outing, daddy got her to ride her bike and she just took off! So the next night she showed me how she learned. I was so proud of her. We’ve been very busy, but I hope we can get more miles in on her bike before winter hits so come next spring we aren’t back in a position of putting the training wheels on.
My second thought is how well Megan is doing in school. I think the teacher she has this year is really helping Megan shine. Megan is so thrilled to be learning. She IS learning. She’s reading, writing, doing math, all sorts of things on her own without a fight. Now we still fight when it comes to getting homework done. I’m not sure that will ever change, ha ha. Last night she told Ryan and I that she can be anything she wants to be. That she can be many things at once. She can be an author AND an illustrator. Yes, you read that right. She said an illustrator. Ryan looked at her and said “Do you know what an illustrator is Megan?” She did! Shocking to us, ha ha. She also said she can be a farmer too all at the same time. I told her that she was right. She could be anything she wants to be, anything she sets her mind to doing and that mommy and daddy were here to help her accomplish those things the best we can. She just was smiling from ear to ear.
One thing that literally surprised me is she did so well on her pre-spelling test (97%) and then ACED it at the end of the week. She’s really growing, our Little Bit. Oh and she has finally surpassed 40 pounds and seems to be staying there, at least for the past two weeks. I told Ryan that maybe since her mind is “growing” that must be making her body grow, too. Ha ha.
Happy 9th Birthday My Sweet Booga!
I can’t believe that 9 years ago my sweet boogabear made me a mommy
Happy Birthday, Boog!!!! Below is a picture of her before school. After school we went out to Texas Roadhouse (her choice) for dinner. She wanted to be crowned a cowgirl, lol. You know, sit on the wooden horse, ROFL. I got some pics there, but it was really dark. And she opened her presents, then home.

Kylie’s family birthday party
Usually Labor Day weekend we have our Nation annual cook-out, but this year we had a wedding instead. Alex and Cheyenne got married that weekend, and Trent and Lisa had a housewarming….so…………we just had a small intimate close family gathering to celebrate Kylie’s birthday. Below are some pictures for you to enjoy.

Huzzahhhhhhhh
We went to Huzzah Valley August 12 – 17. It was not easy getting there! Someone hit our truck and camper while we were driving on the highway. Took us an extra 3 hours to get to our destination. So stressful, but we are very thankful that we were not hurt.
The Horvath family came and joined us while we were there. This was such a fun vacation! The girls really like rafting/tubing and we had so much fun at this campground.
Enjoy the pictures!

First Day of School
After a fun-filled summer, it’s time to start school. The girls are sad that summer is over, but thrilled to be starting school! Kylie is starting 3rd grade in Mrs. McGrath’s class. Megan is starting 1st grade in Mrs. Saxby’s class (same one Kylie had!).
Below are their 1st date pics.

Kylie’s friend birthday camping trip
Kylie wanted to have a camping trip for her birthday party. So she invited 3 girls and we headed out to the Double J in Chatham since it was the closest campground. The weather was great and everyone seemed to have a BLAST! I know we did. Adysen, Ruby, and Brandy came to celebrate her day. Here are some pictures below. They swam, put on dances, and light shows for us. They were very silly girls!

Camping with the Horvath family
We went camping with the Horvath family July 29 – 31 at Mark Twain landing. It was so nice to see our friends again. I wish we lived closer
The kids grow each time we see them. The camp trip was fun……and a little excitement
Saturday morning it was pouring….I fell on my elbows…ended up going to the ER 30 miles from our campground…..nothing broken, but I do have a nasty gash on the tip of my right elbow and the whole elbow/arm badly bruised and sore. It’s now what, 11 days and it still hurts!!!! Needless to say I didn’t get to enjoy the waterpark with everyone else and didn’t take too many pictures, unfortunately.
Hope you enjoy what pictures I did get!
